Tucson’s Best Kept Secret is… Mount Lemmon!

Mount Lemmon is one of Tucson’s best kept secrets and it’s closer and cooler than you think! A short 30 minute drive out of the city will transport you to another world that looks and feels just like Christmas!

The mountain is covered in luscious pine trees that make the air so fresh and delightful smelling. Giant rock formations are everywhere and it’s a whooping 20 degrees cooler up there. You’ll forget it’s even warm in Tucson and you may even want to bring a light jacket!

There is so much to do on the mountain for every taste and style. When you drive your car up, or even cycle if you like a challenge, you’ll find many lookout points with breathtaking views. There are lots of hiking trails to explore and many of them are dog friendly. There are even some places with water where you could fish or swim.

Enjoy a snack at the cutest little pizzeria and cookie cabin that you can find in the little community of Summerhaven.

As if that wasn’t great enough, Mount Lemmon boasts its own ski resort that has beginner and black diamond runs.

Once you expereince Mount Lemmon for yourself, you may never want to leave, and if you don’t there are camping spots available–depending on the time of year, you may need a reservation.

What to know how to get there? It’s as simple as calling me to help you find a house of your own. 😉

Drive on Speedway East, away from the freeway, and turn North or Left on Wilmont. Wilmont turns into Tanque Verde at the big dinosaur McDonalds; Keep going, the road is going to twist and turn and soon you’ll see Catalina Highway where you’ll turn Left or North. Drive up to the top and enjoy a big breath of fresh air!

Merry Christmas,
