Pets, for many of us, they are our children.  Personally, I have always been a pet person, especially dogs.

When we were kids we had every pet you can imagine.  Some of the unique pets I remember: Rocky - the snapping tortoise who swallowed my dads keys, Bandit - the ferret who ate the chalk off of the pool table and a wild bird named Bilbo who used to fly down from the trees and land on my mothers arm when she wanted fed.

We also had hamsters, gerbils, mice, rabbits, dogs, cats, birds, fish and reptiles.

Mom and Dad taught us to respect all life and love all life unconditionally.  Our pets taught us how.

Today I have a little girl named Keeley.   She is a Cockapoo who rescued us around November of 2010.  Our friends found her on the streets, very sick with infections, covered in ticks and in severe need of a bath and a hair cut.  Two weeks later, after medications, vets and a great groomer, a princess emerged.  And she has never looked back.

Keeley arrived just in time to get us through a really hard time.  We keep a magnet on our fridge that says, "Who Rescued Who?".

My point with all of this is to let you know that I am very serious about taking care of my lil girl Keeley and I am very careful about who I refer.  On the pages linked to this one I have info on dog friendly hotels, restaurants (yes I said restaurants), sitters, gay friendly vets and of course Tucson dog parks.

If you know of some place or company that should be here, on GayTucson.com, please contact me.

Have a great day,
