La Siesta - A GLBT Friendly
Place to Stay in Tucson
I met Kimberly at the GLBT Chamber of Commerce breakfast. She immediately struck me as fun and
outgoing. She asked me about GayTucson.com and I told her to give me a call or send me an email.
The following day, she sent me an email.
If you have read any of my other hotel or business pages, you probably know that I have specific criteria when it comes to who I refer on GayTucson.com. So of
course I told Kimberly that I would need to meet her and the owner, Steve.
We arranged a meeting for me to come
down to La Siesta and get to know them and the property.
In the meantime, prior to our meeting, Kimberly asked
if they could help with the gay pride after party, “PARAGON”. They offered to provide shuttle service to some of the bars in the area and to the hotels on the
night of the party.
They did what they promised. They have arranged to have a shuttle run from 8pm until
the bars close. Generous and true to their word, always a good start.
So on Tuesday, October
7, 2008, I met with Kimberly and Steve at La Siesta. Steve is really nice and very professional.
I looked at the very charming rooms. I would call them guest casitas. One
even has its own private patio, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and a kitchen with dining area.
The property is
a short drive away from several of the gay bars in Tucson, probably less than a five dollar fare by taxi. Kimberly and Steve couldn’t be any more
gay friendly. So, give them a call and tell them you found them on GayTucson.com
