Tucson’s gay, country dance bar is just a stones throw away from a couple of the other gay bars. It is located near the freeway in a retail shopping center with plenty of parking.

I have to admit, I’m not a country boy myself, but the times I have gone to Howl at the Moon I have had a great time.

They have quite a few things to do there:

They have pool tables in the back if you like to play pool.

Of course they have dancing, country that is. Two stepping and they even teach country line dancing as well. You’ll have to contact them for the dates and times.

If you like poker, they have tournaments, again, contact the bar for dates and times.

As you can see in the photos, they have several TV’s at the bar. If you just want to rest your feet and have a drink the bar is perfect. I think you can even play a video quiz game if you want.

Last but not least, they also serve food. Burgers, fries, chicken wings, chicken sandwiches, well, you get the gist. I love to eat so any bar that serves food has done right by me.

I have met the two of the three ladies who own Howl at the Moon. I spoke with them for a little bit at the 2007 gay pride here in Tucson. They were both very friendly and nice to talk to. So, when you see them at the bar, tell em hi and that Tony Ray sent you.
