Lofts in Tucson Finally Available
A few months ago I was working with a Captain in the Air
Force who wanted a loft and there were few to be found.
Luckily, after a very thorough search, we found
a great Loft for him.As of today, there
are several lofts available. Why would I write about this? Well, because a few months ago several people inquired
about them when the pickin's were slim. So, in case you know of someone who wants a loft, you may want to tell them. Also, there are a lot of
photos of the different lofts on the My Green Tucson website. As of
today, there are four units available for sale in the Ice House ranging from $200,000 (744sf) to $475,000 (2290sf). The Ice House Lofts are one of my favorite loft projects. In
the Culla di Arte lofts, there are two available. Both are 1635 sf. One is listed for $295,000 and the other is $329,000.
These lofts are unique because
they have a L shape. The owners of those lofts are friends. They are really cool. The lofts. and the
owners. Many of the loft projects
have green features, another reason why I really like them besides the trendy chic look. As a buyer’s agent, I can help you or yours with the purchase of any loft in Tucson.
Call me if you would like more information about the different lofts available.
Photos were taken at the
Ice House Lofts. Lofts in photos are not for sale, see legal disclaimers for more information.

Why Did I Wait So Long?
Have you ever meant to do something and just never got it
done? Something that will save you money, making your life better, allowing you to perhaps buy more of something you
really like (dinners out) or just save a little more money for a rainy day or ...Probably a stupid question, but hopefully you understand where I’m going with this.I just recently remembered to sign up for the TEP PowerShift program. This program basically allows you to buy electricity
almost at half price during off peak (any time after 8pm and up till noon the next day). Hello, Tony Ray, are you in
there? Use as little electricity as possible between 2pm and 6pm. Not that hard.Okay, so I finally got it and signed up and it was quick and easy and I don’t have any excuse for taking so long. I also went to Costco; they have a great tower fan with remote for about $45 bucks. I turned
my AC thermostat up 5 degrees during the day. I like it cold inside so this scared me a little. Much to my surprise,
the tower fan makes all the difference in the world. So now, after dinner, I get my dishwasher ready and put it on delay so that it runs after 8pm. I also try to do one load of laundry at night during off peak
time as well.So, I haven’t given
up comfort, my electrical bill will be lower and I am helping the planet. Now all I need is a cape.To find out more about this program, go to www.TEP.com From the home page, click on Green Energy (environmentally friendly programs) and then click on PowerShift for Home.
Call me if you need help. Tony

Tucson Real Estate Market Making a Come Back?
We are already half way through 2009,
and boy, this year is flying by. Usually "flying by" indicates "really busy"and
I am happy to say, that this is the case. Real estate has been more exciting and challenging than
ever. And I love it. Buyers
are purchasing (and some are getting $8000!), sellers are selling and inventory has dropped big time from last year.
Tucson appears to be making a come back. Here
are the numbers:As of June 2009, there
were 6,440 homes for sale (active inventory) which is a 26% decrease from June 2008. There were 1,122 homes sold (sold inventory) in June 2009, which is an 8% increase
from June 2008. The median price of sold
homes was $165,500 for the month of June 2009; this is down 17% from June 2008. Buyer activity has increased significantly. New properties under contract
are up 57% from June 2008Contact me if
you would like more market information.

Margaret Cho, Will She Stop By 2009 Oct. Gay Pride?
Margaret Cho is scheduled to perform live at the Rialto
on gay pride weekend. It may be a coincidence, or was it planned? Tucson's Gay pride parade
is on October 9th and Pride in the Desert is on October 10th at Reid Park.
Margaret Cho is appearing at the Rialto on October 9th! (Get your tickets now online or at the Rialto box office). So, will she stop by gay pride? Can we convince her
to stop by gay pride? Should we write letters begging? Should we send a fruit basket? Tony
